Poésies en Mouvement #15: piez-m-nqu-nte
Multimedia performance reclaiming the body through voice, macro video and feminist poetics

A multimedia performance inspired by the theme of la greffe at Makaronic "Poésies en Mouvement #15."
Using voice as the primary source of sound and magnification cameras to reveal unseen details of the body, the piece reimagines the poetic genre of the Blason. Through a feminist lens, it seeks to reclaim the body from patriarchal artistic traditions—shifting from fragmented, idealized portrayals toward a space of authenticity, connection and complexity.
Concept
The performance builds a dialogue between:
- Live vocal textures
- Macro / magnification video streams exposing surfaces, gestures and transient details
- Real‑time transformation layers (color desaturation, temporal echo, subtle glitch)
The body becomes both instrument and landscape; sound and image co‑construct a living, emergent poetic field.
Artistic Approach
- Reclamation – Deconstruct inherited framings of anatomical idealization.
- Amplification – Elevate overlooked micro‑gestures into central dramaturgical material.
- Hybrid Poetics – Merge spoken text, vocal sonics and image microscopy into a composite "blason vivant."
- Embodied Feminism – Reject objectifying fragmentation; highlight continuity, breath, vulnerability.
Technical Setup
- Live Sound Design and Execution: I conceptualized and performed real-time voice manipulations using modular synths, transforming the voice into a granular sound source that interacted seamlessly with the performance’s visual elements.
- Video System Design and Operation: I developed and managed real-time video effects using a Max MSP patch, synchronizing two magnification cameras on stage. This system allowed for the live projection of detailed body parts, creating an immersive and poetic visual narrative that complemented the sound design.
- Collaboration and Co-Creation: Collaborated closely with Elsa Cailletaud to conceptualize and execute the performance, integrating technical expertise with artistic vision to bring the project to life.
